This two-ingredient autumnal classic is traditionally made using two ounces of rye, bourbon, rum or brandy and topped with apple cider.

  • 2 oz Rye, bourbon, rum or brandy
  • 1 dash Angostura bitters
  • Apple cider
  • Garnish: Mint sprig
  1. Add the spirit and bitters to a Collins glass over ice.

  2. Fill the glass to the brim with the cider and stir.

  3. Garnish with a mint sprig.
